Ron's Profile
I have been bowfishing for 40 years and still very active in the sport. The majority of it has been done in the central, east, and southern regions of Texas. I have also sampled the quality of bowfishing in Wisconsin, Nevada, and Canada.
For many years I participated in tournaments locally and statewide. Generally, I won or placed high in the various contests. In 1978 we were sponsored by the local archery shop as an entrant in the first Ben Pearson International Bowfishing Tournament on Lake Meade in Nevada. We placed 4th. In 1997, Eric and I were National Field Archery Associations Bowfishermen of the Year annual event.
As a bowhunter for 45 years, bowfishing has been a passion to fill the gap in the “off season”. And, at 62 years old, the pursuit of the large Alligator Gar is the ultimate thrill of bowfishing.
Eric's Profile
Eric began his bowhunting & bowfishing career at the age of eight under my tutorship and has 30 years experience under his belt. I now have the good fortune to have him as my personal guide.
Eric's skills, honed through knowledge and awareness of the various species that he pursues, has given him an uncanny sense to consistently locate and take trophy class animals and fish.
Like me, Eric has spanned the State of Texas waterways in search of that ”Bowfishing Mecca” that is home to big Alligator Gar, and has several nice fish to his credit. Click on the link below to view some of our earlier photos.
He has also has shared his ability and knowledge, being instrumental in putting other bowfishermen on good fish prior to setting up the guide service.
